Privacy Policy
Nest English ("we", "us") is founded and operated by Dr. Ahmed Hamdy, based in Egypt. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what control you have over it — across every part of the platform: the free self-assessment tool, Quick Classroom, teacher and organization accounts, and the optional AI features.
Who is responsible for this data (data controller)

What we collect
- Free self-study mode (no account): nothing is sent to our servers. Your answers, score, XP, streak, and progress are generated and stored only in your browser's local storage. We never see them.
- Quick Classroom (temporary, no account): a teacher can open a temporary session so students join by QR code without creating an account. We store only what the session needs — a session code, and each student's chosen display name and result summary — and it expires automatically.
- Teacher and organization accounts: your name, email address, a securely hashed password (we never store or see your actual password), the classes and assignments you create, and your role within your organization and its branches.
- Automatically collected data: our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard connection data, like your IP address, to serve the site and protect it from abuse such as automated sign-up attempts.
- Optional AI features: if you turn on AI features (like "Professor Hoot" or AI writing feedback), the text you submit is sent to Puter, an independent third-party AI service, to generate a response. This is off by default, and turning it off means that connection is never made.
Why we process this data
- To provide the service you asked for — running your test, saving your teacher workspace.
- To keep the platform secure — rate-limiting sign-ups, detecting abuse.
- To power optional AI features — only with your consent, given by switching the feature on.
Children and student data
Nest English is designed to be usable by learners of any age, including school students, under a teacher's supervision. We recommend teachers use Quick Classroom for younger learners, since it needs no student account or personal data. If a school or teacher creates individual student accounts, the school or teacher is responsible for obtaining any parental or guardian consent required under the laws that apply to them. We do not knowingly let a child create an independent account without the involvement of a teacher, school, or parent.
How your data is stored and protected
Account data is stored on Cloudflare's D1 database. Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are hashed with PBKDF2 at a high iteration count, an industry-standard method. Sessions are protected with secure, HttpOnly cookies, and all traffic is encrypted (HTTPS).
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data, and we do not use advertising or tracking networks. We share data only with:
- Cloudflare, our hosting and database provider, to run the platform.
- Puter, an AI infrastructure provider, only for the specific message you send while AI features are switched on.
- Within an organization: a teacher or admin can see the data of their own organization's classes and students — never another organization's data.
How long we keep it
We keep account data for as long as your account is active. To have your account and its data deleted, contact contact@nestenglishhub.com and we will act on it within a reasonable time. Local browser data can be deleted instantly and permanently by you at any time from the in-app Privacy & Data page — no need to contact us.
Cookies
We use only the cookies necessary to keep you securely signed in. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
Your rights
Depending on where you're located, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your data. For account data, contact contact@nestenglishhub.com. For local browser data, use the Backup, Restore, and "Clear all my data" tools directly inside the app.

We may update this policy as the platform grows. The date below shows when it was last updated, and meaningful changes will be reflected here.
