Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Nest English, founded and operated by Dr. Ahmed Hamdy from Egypt. By using the platform, you agree to them. If you're a teacher setting this up for students under 18, you're confirming you have the authority to do so on their behalf.
What Nest English is
Nest English is a free, adaptive English self-assessment and practice tool, with optional tools for teachers and organizations, and optional AI-assisted features provided with help from a third-party AI service. It is an independent project and is not an official or accredited certification body.
Accounts
- The free self-assessment tool doesn't require an account.
- Teacher and organization accounts require accurate information (name, email) and a password you keep confidential. You're responsible for activity under your account.
- One person, one account. Don't share your login with others.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to access another user's, class's, or organization's data without permission.
- Use automated tools to scrape, overload, or abuse the platform.
- Use the platform to harass, impersonate, or harm another person.
- Misrepresent an assessment result as an official certification.
AI features
AI features (like Professor Hoot and AI writing/speaking feedback) are optional and provided with help from Puter, an independent third-party AI service. AI responses are a learning aid, not a verified assessment — only the platform's own scoring engine produces your placement result. AI can make mistakes; always use your judgment.
Content and results
Your test results, XP, and progress are a self-assessment tool for personal or classroom learning purposes. They are not an accredited language certificate and shouldn't be presented as one — for example, to an employer or academic institution — unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Intellectual property
The Nest English name, curriculum, questions, and design belong to Nest English. Written or spoken answers you submit remain yours; by submitting them, you allow us to process them only to provide you the service — for example, to generate your score or, if enabled, an AI response.
Third-party services
The platform relies on Cloudflare (hosting) and, only if you enable AI features, Puter (AI). Your use of those optional features is also subject to their own terms.
Availability and changes
Nest English is provided free of charge and "as is." We may update, change, or discontinue features, and may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nest English and its founder are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. The service is provided without warranties of any kind.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Egypt.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform grows. Continued use after a change means you accept the update.
